Facilities at The DPWS

The DPWS has continued to build and extend its commitment to enhancing its facilities. it began working on a master plan for the whole of the school estate out to 2030 with specialist US-based architects and master planners, Cannon Design. The aim is to preserve the history and heritage of the school, maximize the use of space available in an environmentally responsible and sustainable fashion, and plan for new and refurbished facilities

Classroom

The classrooms are designed with safety in mind and every classroom has emergency exits in case of any eventuality like an evacuation. As Candor is a green school, natural lighting and ventilation has been taken into account. Each classroom is provided with an LCD projector, a white board, space for displays. For the primary section, particularly, the furniture and equipment has been chosen with utmost care and every room is provided with classroom resources necessary for each age level.

Library

Candor has separate well stocked libraries for Primary, Middle and High school. The libraries are supported by qualified teacher librarians, and are well lit and ventilated, user friendly with browsing areas, reference sections, periodical sections and general sections. All students are oriented how to use the Library. Besides the print library, the school has numerous digital resources (DPWS). The school library is a place where students and staff are always welcome to use the available resources.

Science Laboratories

The school has four spacious, well equipped, ventilated Science Labs to deliver the requirements of the IGCSE and IB curricula. In addition to the conventional Science Labs, Vernier technology is used as part of the experimental process. Qualified, experienced and technically trained teachers manage the labs. All safety measures required are in place.

Sports and Games Facility

School has good sport’s facilities which include indoor and outdoor games providing opportunities for the spirit of sportsmanship.
